Russians Confirm East Anglia CRU Faked Climate Data

As riots and chaos descend upon the climate confab in Copenhagen, a fresh set of revelations about the Climategate scandal involving the Climate Research Unit at Britain’s East Anglia University is now spreading like wildfire. From the UK Telegraph’s James Delingpole:

Climategate just got much, much bigger. And all thanks to the Russians who, with perfect timing, dropped this bombshell just as the world’s leaders are gathering in Copenhagen to discuss ways of carbon-taxing us all back to the dark ages…

Delingpole quotes from a Russian newspaper which says that the Moscow-based Institute of Economic Analysis has gone through the CRU’s Russian temperature data and concluded that CRU cherry-picked it to show global warming which doesn’t exist. Says Delingpole:

What the Russians are suggesting here, in other words, is that the entire global temperature record used by the IPCC to inform world government policy is a crock.

The global warming advocacy movement is rapidly coming apart at the seams. Even Greenpeace is taking it on the chin.

I was actually going to post on the same topic, but you beat me to it. Here are a couple more posts on the topic from my favorite climate blogs:

It's an open letter from Lord Christopher Monckton, one of the most prominent critics of the AGW movement, to IPCC director Rajenda Pachauri, who shared the stage with Al Gore when he won his fraudulent Nobel, basically calling him a fraud and demanding he resign his post.

It's an unraveling of gargantuan proportions.

  5. There you deniers and AGW skeptics go again. This news can't be accurate, as there is nothing I could find on the mainstream sites about it. If AP isn't reporting it, then it must not be true, and all they're reporting is a poll with Obama at a 56% approval rating (I wonder how long they shopped around for that!).

Climategate is big news, and this news out of Moscow is huge, but the global warming crowd continues to push, successfully, for carbon emission reductions to be imposed by the EPA if not by Congress, and Obama will promise things he can't deliver because of a little thing called the Constitution, in Copenhagen.

World leadership is lieing, and the world is taking the bait. You just can't fix stupid.

Ok it´s fun how the head works. It’s easy to change from a stress situation "like imminent climate change and the need to react" to a comfortable situation were no action is needed just with some few reports with a good timing. It´s seem`s like someone were saying…. "stop warring, relax..it will soon pass.." yast before sacrifing us. Do you think climate change is a bluff, like the degradation of the ozone, just travel and see it for yourself? I live in Uruguay 2500 Km south from Rio de Janerio. Here in summer you can not be in the open for more than 45 minutes because your skin would be badly heart. In 2001 I spend a 10 days walking without shirt and without sun protection a hole week in Rio de Janeiro and my skin gain a good color but was not burn. If I try these in Uruguay I would probably finish my trip in the hospital for more than a week.
Don´t wait for some report to tell you what’s real or not; observe your surroundings and make your own conclusions. There is polarize information so only one would be true, use your observations to identify which one is real don`t believe the information that make you more comfortable.
