This video isn’t completely safe for work, but BayouBuzz.com’s Stephen Saboludowsky captured the following video interview with Plaquemines Parish President Billy Nungesser, in which he outlines his frustrations with what he sees as a leadership failure, tepid response and some poor decision-making on the part of federal officials in dragging their feet about spreading boom to protect Louisiana’s coastline and failing to approve the plan sent to the Corps of Engineers to build sand berms using dredge spoil at the coastal barrier islands. Nungesser doesn’t understand the delays and he doesn’t understand what he sees as a lack of urgency. And he’s also not happy with Sen. Mary Landrieu.
