With polls showing voters dissatisfied with both parties — and with no shortage of candidates willing to show their independence from party leadership — there were plenty of options to choose from, but in the end we narrowed it down to Kentucky Senate nominee Rand Paul (R), West Virginia Senate nominee Joe Manchin (D), Nevada Senate nominee Sharron Angle (R), Kentucky Senate nominee Jack Conway (D), Alaska Senate nominee Joe Miller (R), Utah Senate nominee Mike Lee (R), Florida’s 22nd District nominee Allen West (R) and Louisiana’s 3rd District nominee Jeff Landry (R).
