They’re Reading The Constitution On The Floor Of The House Today…
…and the Democrats hate it.
HATE it.
They think it’s a stunt.
Well, sure. It’s a stunt.
It’s a stunt with a point. The Republicans running the House are serious about following the Constitution, and they’d like to make a show of doing so. Actually reading it is one way to start doing that.
And despite all the sniping about publicity stunts, the previous Congress demonstrated precisely why it’s necessary to go back to the Constitution. Remember this?

The 111th Congress crapped all over the Constitution. They did it with impunity, and they laughed at people who questioned their fealty to the document.
So it’s now necessary to remarry the House to the Constitution.
And by the way, who the hell are the Democrats to complain about stunts? What was this?
Basically, it’s time for Democrats to shut up. Just can it. We’re not interested in what you have to say.
Today is the Constitution’s day. Those of us who don’t like the Constitution can put their hands over their ears.
Bull hockey! Republicans pick and choose which part of the Constitution they “love” as much as anyone. Which Tea Party Republican gets to choke on “Provide for the General Welfare”, or the commerce clause, or “To make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing Powers”, or the 14th amendment, or the 16th amendment, or the 17th amendment, or …?
They break the law everyday. Reading the constitution will do nothing. It’s a joke.
