Meet The Democrat Base
Nope. I’m not making this up. This is what they’ve got to work with.
Via Gateway Pundit.
Give that guy some cheap wine and he’ll prolly simmer down.

“I like PBS. I’d like my grandkids to be able to watch PBS. But I’m not willing to borrow money from China and make my kids have to pay the interest on that, and my grandkids, over generations, as opposed to saying to PBS, look, you’re going to have to raise more money from charitable contributions or from advertising.”

I think he said it best…. UNBELIEVABLE!
The Party of Abraham Lincoln is dead. The Republican party has sold it’s soul to corporate greed and has nothing but contempt for the working man.
Stop whining, Dave. It’s unseemly.
Who sold their soul to GE’s greed?
I will say up front, I am neither red nor blue as in the end, they are all the same. Here is the problem with this type of “journalism”, you choose 1 moron out of the crowd and (attempt) to make your readers think all are the same. Are your readers the same as the idiots from New Orleans that were interviewed during Katrina coverage? Are you the twin brother of those on “Swamp People”? That is who many in the U.S. think of us. The guy had a good point, left unchecked without the unions, would wages have risen? Coal mining towns anyone?
I love all these “centrists” who spout the AFL-CIO line chapter and verse.
Think this guy is unusual?

I’ll take Troy from Swamp People over these morons all day long, thank you.
Thanks for the reply. No, I definitely do not think this guy is unusual. However I do know there are those in unions that are the opposite of the portrayal of those you featured as well. Not everyone is a union is bad. I believe both sides have good and bad. My point was simply having been a “victim” of broad brush painting because I am from this state, all are not as bad as this guy. Just like you and I aren’t the dregs that were portrayed after Katrina just because we are from Louisiana.
Note that the title of Oscar’s piece was “Meet The Democrat Base,” not “Meet
The Typical Union Member.”
I love all these “centrists” who swallow the AFL-CIO line hook, line and sinker. Who do you clowns think you’re fooling?
Lol. I am definitely the opposite of a “centrist”. I believe in small government, low taxes and state’s rights. The problem with this state and this country is the people. The people voted for the current inhabitant of the White House, the people voted for the failures we have had in the legislature (both national and state) and in the governor’s mansion. I look around at the mess that is this state and I blame the people.
My political view would lean more to the Tea Party. Not exactly centrist.
