Quote Of The Day, Feb. 9, 2011
“If we [America] really want to promote democracy in this region then we cannot silence the voices of the Muslim Brotherhood because they’re the moderate voice here and they are the ones who are actually working for democracy.”
- Cindy Sheehan, to Al-Jazeera while in Egypt as part of a Code Pink mission to demonstrate on behalf of jailed members of the Muslim Brotherhood in 2008.

What a air-headed remark that was…has anyone been watching Glenn Beck lately? Both organizations are anti-American; please ignore anything they say!
Note that the quote was uttered in 2008, three years ago. It demonstrates a relatively long-standing connection between a hard-left group in Code Pink and the Muslim Brotherhood, and should color the understanding of both groups as we’re told by the Obama administration that the Ikhwan should have a seat at the table in a post-Mubarak Egypt.
