“I like PBS. I’d like my grandkids to be able to watch PBS. But I’m not willing to borrow money from China and make my kids have to pay the interest on that, and my grandkids, over generations, as opposed to saying to PBS, look, you’re going to have to raise more money from charitable contributions or from advertising.”

What a sad, misguided and misinformed soul AL is. Not only is his statement wrong on its face, but he uses a double-negative to boot. Does he really talk like that or was he using bad grammar in an effort to patronize his audience? In any case, that is the most racist statement I have heard come out of any non-actor’s mouth in a very long time. He is trying to demean an entire demographic with his rhetoric and if there was any real pride in the crowd he was pontificating to, they would have torn him limb from limb. The only reason they did not at least boo him off the stage is because good ol’ Al takes a page out of the old plantation’s book. “Beat them into submission and reform them into a useful tool.” It’s a DAMNED SHAME that slavery is alive and well and it’ perpetuated by the Democratic party.
