EMILY MILLER: Obama’s Default DramaWashington Times

This article by Emily Miller certainly clarifies the situation well– she shows that the “debt ceiling” that Obama demands be removed, should not only NOT be removed, but has room for LOWERING, where federal spending is concerned.  The debt ceiling should not be removed, because the IRS has way, way more taxing authority than it certainly needs in order to fund ALL of the current entitlement programs.  It’s the other new ones that the current occupant has initiated since his inauguration (stimulus/porkulus, ACORN, SEIU and his other favorite special-interest projects) that has flooded the federal budget’s ballast tanks with NEW debt.  Think of the “debt ceiling” as a limit to the president’s spending authority– the Congress grants the authority– then the president can issue the orders to the various departments on how it is to be spent– unless the Congress specifies otherwise.  The Congress “should” be telling the president specifically what is to be spent, and how the revenue is to be obtained– NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND.

      Exactly, spepper.

Republicans in Congress need to show some serious spine and heed Rick Perry’s advice to not try to appeal to the press poodles.  Given the ‘Pubs are damned if they do and damned if they don’t, they might as well do the right thing.

In light of that, I find the threats from Moody’s and S & P very suspicious.  Their globalist slips are showing.
