They Lost The Cold War…
…but maybe it’s not over after all.
Most folks know about the stated goals in the 1950′s American Communists outlined to destroy the country; most of them have at least somewhat been achieved.

Is it over the top? Maybe – most self-identified communist types have trouble tying their shoes or taking a dump without help. But it’s easier to destroy something than to build it. And there’s no question we’ve got more neo-communists running around in this country than we ever had when the KGB was footing the bill.

Wow, compelling and dramatic as theatre can be but was he spot on from one of those few who grew up in the shadow of the bomb? I remember the test sirens going off each week. They scared me when I was five years old living on the West Bank in Algiers. New Orleans was hot with anti-castro, assasination, and Vietnam. I was a late baby-boomer so I remember those last few years in the ’60s. We were ducking under desks. and Castro was laughing at us. The scools were still segregated but they worked, When I broke my collar bone the family paid for it and it was cheap, and there was a business boom going on in the region from oil. Castro was just across the Gulf of Mexico with an IRBM. So do I believe they really wanted to destroy us that badly? Yeah, Ido. So I think back to what Stalin, Lennin, Mao, Castro, Kim and Chavez say about us. And there are the goals this guy is bitching about. Yeah he’s spot on to a cold war survivor.
