Cain: Sexual Harrassment Accusations Are False
POLITICO started this controversy yesterday with an explosive piece saying two women who worked at the National Restaurant Association when Herman Cain was president have accused him of “sexually suggestive behavior,” and that’s all anybody is talking about in national politics today.
They’re ginning this thing up into a major controversy and then they’re criticizing Cain’s campaign for not adequately handling it, which is a typical media hit job.
Cain says this morning that yes, he was accused of “sexually suggestive behavior,” but no, he’s never done anything wrong.
It was in fact poorly handled last night ON AIR.
I had been warned that some morals accusations would likely surface OVER 6 MONTHS AGO by an attorney friend in Atlanta. While I was waiting to see if anything would prove my friend correct, I did not expect this to come from his time at NRA.
It was a chicken-poop attack on Cain and smacks of oppo research from one of the other candidates’ camps. And if it comes out whose camp let this garbage loose, that candidate is finished. Cain ends up benefiting from it since he’s the non-politician who doesn’t deal in such cowardly smears.
This attack certainly is a chicken poop one if there is no follow up. However, my friend Atlanta, as of just minutes ago, sees more on the horizon to be revealed.
