The Penn State Thing Might Be Getting So Much Worse That You’ll Never Believe It
If you hit this link, you’ll hear an interview from WEEI-AM radio in Boston with Mark Madden, a radio host from Pittsburgh who seven months ago wrote an exact summary of everything that has happened at Penn State this week.
And Madden says the scandal has a different level to it altogether. You won’t like this at all. He says there’s a rumor which says that Jerry Sandusky used his Second Mile charity as a child prostitution ring for wealthy Penn State donors. He also says Sandusky’s retirement came as a quid pro quo in exchange for a cover up.
They’re also talking about shutting down Penn State football for a year to clean it out. Which isn’t likely to happen.
The scope of this is mind-boggling. Mind-boggling. It’s the worst scandal in the history of sports.
What’s mind boggling are those students who flipped out after their “beloved” head coach got the axe. If he knew about it and did nothing, he is indefensible.
