This controversy Barack Obama has ginned up is a matter of narrow band bigotry against an idea more than it’s about Women’s Reproductive Rights. The first element of contention will be the concept of Women’s Reproductive Rights. This has to do with liberal’s belief practicality and responsibility avoidance take precedence over conscience, morality, scruples and ethics. What makes you feel good is all that counts.

If you fail to see it in the same light as the liberal, you’re conducting war against women and their right to NOT reproduce as they enjoy sexual activity on a level of equivalence with the male. Sex without stricture, conscience or emotional involvement has always been the battle cry of the hedonistic and more self-involved from Hugh Hefner to Helen Gurley Brown through Betty Friedan and unto the teachings of Gloria Steinem. Ad hominem sui servitus, ad nauseum. (appealing to self-service rather than reason to a disgusting extent)

Okay. I get it. Equality of the sexes. Gotcha.

But, where does it say a religious organization, committed to the ministration (care, attention, nurture, aid, comfort, treatment of the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual needs of the ill and injured) must sacrifice their moral teaching and structure to support the political machinations of a cynical and self-absorbed population? Hospitals minister to the needs of the ill and injured. They have and support and conduct physical treatment and are ready to offer spiritual comfort and aid to those afflicted by life.

In this political drama we have a leader on the national scale having the temerity to stand against and for all intents; extents and purposes lied to a Catholic Bishop’s face. Obama told the Bishop the payment of insurance coverage for birth control, abortion and reproductive rights education wouldn’t affect the Catholic Church but would be paid by insurance providers.

But Obama says religion sponsored hospitals aren’t ministries. Church sponsored social aid operations aren’t ministries. Soup kitchens run by the Salvation Army aren’t ministries. Therefore they must pay for these insurances whether they’re against the collective conscience of the parishioners, congregants and body of the believers in that religion or faith; or not. Obama feels free to infect the conscience (and he also gains access to their wallets and votes) of men and women he seeks to pollute with HIS sense of propriety and moral structure.

I’ve asked the question many times of many different people espousing the same rhetorical drivel; that I should be more like them. Who says I want to be as stupid as you? Who says I want YOU as an example of what I’d like my son to become? What makes all egocentric jerks think they’re the only ones’ having valid ideas, thoughts and social consciences?

Personally, I offer an ironic take on this subject: I don’t care if you want to destroy your progeny in the womb. It means I have one less person you can infect with your idiotic supposition that culling your herd will benefit our society. It may be beneficial; but it’s assured there will be NO benefit derived by the life not born, the life not lived or the love not shared because you want unfettered carnal jollies.

But that’s your choice. Do what you will. Don’t expect us to approve of, sanction or pay for it. We have rights too, Obama.

The idea that service to God should have only to do with a church altar, singing, reading, sacrifice, and the like is without doubt but the worst trick of the devil. How could the devil have led us more effectively astray than by the narrow conception that the service of God takes place only in the church and by works done therein? … The whole world could abound with services to the Lord…not only in churches but also in the home, kitchen, workshop, and field.
––Martin Luther

Chew on that for awhile.

Thanks for listening.
