No, it’s not illegal to buy G-strings on a food stamp/EBT card. Those cards can’t be used for “adult entertainment,” but nobody is going to make that stick. And obviously since that store had to apply to the federal government and be approved to take the Louisiana Purchase card, they’ve been vetted for it.

So this is what it has come to. A federal program intended 50 years ago to insure that Americans don’t go hungry is now being used so welfare recipients can buy this…

Forget about the morality of whether people ought to be buying sexy lingerie. We might even be with the Democrats on that issue.

Can we not agree that’s a luxury item? And can we not agree a federal government with almost $18 trillion in debt and better than half a trillion dollars in annual deficits can’t afford to be buying luxury items for welfare recipients?

Great societies don’t put up with this. The guess here is Lyndon Baines Johnson, the atrocious president who foisted the modern welfare state from which this abuse comes, would probably be appalled at what he has wrought.

Then again, almost all of these people are Democrats. So maybe LBJ is happy after all.
