In the first attack ad on Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-LA), Rep. Bill Cassidy (R-LA) calls the long-time senator out for voting with President Barack Obama 97 percent of the time over the last six years.
The ad by the Cassidy Campaign does not hit Landrieu from the right, but rather from the left, by focusing on the fact that Landrieu voted to cut Medicare in order to pay for Obamacare. Cassidy also mentions that he has voted to “preserve and strengthen social security.”

Previous ads by the Cassidy Campaign made no mention of Landrieu whatsoever. In ads about Obamacare and Louisiana’s energy, Cassidy mentioned the president and Senate Democrats, but never specifically Landrieu.
