In just a month, it will be time for smokers to put their cigarettes out in the city of New Orleans.

The sweeping smoking ban ordinance, heralded by New Orleans City Councilwoman Latoya Cantrell (D) and unanimously approved by the City Council, will ban smoking in essentially all businesses, including bars.
