VIDEO: Graves Questions Corps Of Engineers Over Waste, Backlog

This is pretty good stuff, and you can tell it’s been coming for a while seeing as though Graves used to run Louisiana’s Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority, and waste and sloth at the Corps of Engineers was a major irritant for him then.

So in a House Natural Resources Committee hearing yesterday, Graves let fly on the Corps representatives over the money they spend on decades-long studies without actually acting on them, and the failure of proactivity leading to billions of dollars in disaster relief costs.

It’s 10 minutes of how congressional oversight ought to look, and it’s a validation of why the 6th District sent Graves to Washington.
