No Illegal Immigrant Problem? Just Look At This Month!

If you happen to have a friend or family member who takes the opinion that excessive crime among communities of illegal aliens (whoops, I mean undocumented immigrants, triggered) is a myth from conservatives, all you have to do is take a good look in state news this month. May seems to be Criminal Illegal Immigrant Month around Louisiana.

Just this week, Alejandro Salazar was arrested after he was charged with indecent behavior with an 11-year-old girl in Iowa. Police got the call from the girl’s sister, and after a few days of investigating discovered that Salazar was in the country illegally.

JDSO Detectives arrested a man today on charges of indecent behavior with a juvenile. The investigation began on May 20, 2017, when deputies were contacted by a sister of the, 11 year old victim.  Deputies discovered in the investigation that inappropriate behavior occurred on several dates, between Alejandro Maldonado Salazar, 41, and a step daughter.  During the investigation deputies also determined that Salazar entered into the United States illegally.

Next up, Lafayette. Last week, Daniel Ernesto Viscarra-Lopez pled guilty in the Western District of Louisiana to illegally reentering the United States for the sixth time. The 26-year-old was arrested in November, and agents eventually learned that he was previously removed from the United States five other times between 2006 and 2009.

He later told U.S. Border Patrol agents that he was a citizen of El Salvador. After further investigation, agents learned that Viscarra-Lopez was previously removed from the United States in June 2006, July 2007, February 2009, June 2009 and December 2009. He entered the country illegally each time without first obtaining permission from the U.S. government.

Not enough? How about this. The week before that, 15 illegal aliens were arrested in Cameron and indicted for identity theft, using social security numbers of actual citizens, and making false claims of United States citizenship in order to obtain jobs at over the past three years.

Federal and state agents arrested 15 illegal aliens working under false identities at the LNG facility under construction in Cameron, Louisiana.

The defendants had all been hired by subcontractors who used hiring offices in Port Arthur to accept applications, interview, and E-verify employees who then report to the jobsite in Louisiana upon hiring.

E-verify doesn’t catch illegals who use fake Social Security numbers, an unfortunate fact the Cameron case brought to light.

One more: in late April, a Terrytown woman named Nancy Yahaira Gonzalez Rodriguez was reportedly raped and stabbed 21 times by her estranged husband Irwin Gomez Colon. Both were illegals:

Both Gomez and Gonzalez were undocumented immigrants. Gomez, a Honduran native, came into the country across the Texas border at Laredo in 2013, Normand said. He entered into ‘administrative proceedings within immigration’ but his case was dismissed in 2016, Normand said. He was arrested for driving while intoxicated in 2015 and other traffic related charges, according to JPSO.

In April 2015, New Orleans police arrested Gomez for aggravated rape, second-degree kidnapping and domestic abuse battery, but the charges were dismissed by the Orleans Parish District Attorney’s Office, Normand said.

But none of this is a problem. Honest!
