Update on Amber Alert: 2 Missing Texas Girls Might Be In Colorado

The latest news about two missing Texas girls is that they might have been seen in northern New Mexico and southern Colorado.

Police issued an Amber Alert for two missing girls from Round Rock, Texas, a suburb of Austin. They are 14-year-old Lilianais Victoria Cake Griffith and 7-year-old Luluvioletta Mariposo Bandera-Margaret.

Griffith is 5 ft. 10 in. tall and weighs 100 pounds. She has brown eyes, wears braces, and has a stud in her right nostril. Bandera-Margaret is 4 ft. 5 in. tall and weighs 75 pounds. She has curly brown hair and brown eyes.

CBS affiliate KEYE-TV reported that police found their mother, Tonya Bates, dead when they arrived at her house. They believe her roommate, Terry Allen Miles, a 44-year-old white male, might have abducted the girls and is a person of interest in Bates’ death. Miles is 6 ft. 2 in. tall and weighs 200 pounds. He has hazel eyes, facial hair, and wears glasses.

Miles was first believed to be driving towards Louisiana. Now, it is believed he may have driven west. He is driving a gray 2017 Hyundai Accent hatchback with a white sticker on the upper-right hand corner of the rear window and a Texas license plate, JGH-9845.

Round Rock police are asking anyone who might have seen Miles, the girls, or his car, or have any information about them, to call the police at (512) 218-5516.
