O’Keefe Compatriot Documents Census Waste In Lafayette

Posted on June 2nd, 2010 by macaoidh

Earlier this week, conservative filmmaker James O’Keefe released a video documenting U.S. Census workers faking time sheets on a systemic basis in New Jersey, to a small national uproar. Earlier today, an associate of O’Keefe’s, Shaughn Adeleye, released a video on BigGovernment.com duplicating O’Keefe’s results at the Census office in Lafayette, Louisiana…

BOMBSHELL: O’Keefe Returns, Documents Waste At Census

Posted on June 1st, 2010 by macaoidh

Filmmaker James O’Keefe has resurfaced with a new video expose, this time with the United States Census as his target. It seems O’Keefe got a job working for the Census Bureau, found that the Census was paying for 20 percent more hours than its employees were actually working, and none of the supervisors seemed to [...]

The O’Keefe Thing

Posted on May 26th, 2010 by macaoidh

Today was the disposition of the misdemeanor charge against conservative provocateur and filmmaker James O’Keefe and three of his associates arising out of a media stunt they attempted in Mary Landrieu’s New Orleans offices. O’Keefe agreed to plead guilty to entering a federal building on false pretenses. He’ll pay a $1,500 fine and do 100 [...]

Vitter Crushing Melancon By 24 Points Thanks To Recent Events

Posted on February 12th, 2010 by macaoidh

Three highly-publicized issues involving U.S. Sen. David Vitter in the past two weeks, along with an increasing momentum for Republican and conservative candidates nationwide, seem to be driving a major surge for Louisiana’s junior senator in his bid for re-election this fall, as a new Rasmussen poll has Vitter scorching his Democrat opponent, Congressman Charlie Melancon, [...]

In Landrieu’s Defense, Nothing New

Posted on February 4th, 2010 by macaoidh

“I make no apologies for seeking this provision. I don’t back-up an inch.” So said Louisiana Democrat Mary Landrieu, who took to the Senate floor today in defense of the Louisiana Purchase – the $300 million deal described as a bribe or political prostitution by her detractors. Landrieu offered a fiery, indignant speech reacting to more [...]

T-P’s Gill Skewers State Dems On Vitter, Letten, O’Keefe

Posted on February 4th, 2010 by macaoidh

Echoing a number of statements we’ve made here at the Hayride, estimable New Orleans Times-Picayune columnist James Gill let loose today with a brutal – and highly entertaining – smackdown of the Louisiana Democrat Party and some of the loopy notions it has been peddling of late.

Letten, Officially Reappointed, Pulls Out Of O’Keefe Case

Posted on February 1st, 2010 by macaoidh

Two items involving U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Louisiana Jim Letten surfaced today, neither likely having much to do with each other. First, Letten was finally given the official go-ahead from Attorney General Eric Holder as a reappointed U.S. Attorney. The move, which was telegraphed last week following Holder’s conference with Louisiana Sen. [...]

James O’Keefe Speaks…

Posted on January 29th, 2010 by macaoidh

The following is a statement by activist and filmmaker James O’Keefe regarding his arrest Monday outside of Sen. Mary Landrieu’s New Orleans offices… “The government has now confirmed what has always been clear: no one tried to wiretap or bug Senator Landrieu’s office. Nor did we try to cut or shut down her phone lines. [...]

Follow Breitbart’s Advice On The O’Keefe Arrest

Posted on January 27th, 2010 by macaoidh

From BigGovernment.com: Wait until the facts are in. Mainstream Media, ACORN, Media Matters (all the supposed defenders of due process and journalistic ethics) are jumping to conclusions over the arrest today of James O’Keefe, with the clear intention to smear and, if possible, convict O’Keefe and his alleged co-conspirators in the court of public opinion [...]
