I’m not a huge fan of the post-touchdown celebrations. Generally speaking they’re undignified and they come off as showboating.
That said, last night when Shonn Greene put the game away for the Jets as they took down the Patriots in Foxboro, he gave us something new. Rarely when somebody scores a TD do they have a plan for a celebration which perfectly fits the situation.
But when you put the game to bed, well – maybe it’s easier to come up with something. Or maybe Greene was tired.
The Jets are the modern-day Raiders. They’re a bunch of pranksters and smartasses. And Rex Ryan is a few fries short of a Happy Meal. The chances are good that they’ll get whacked next week in Pittsburgh. But Sunday was an impressive performance.
