More info at the original story here: https://thehayride.com/2020/07/austin-blm-zone-site-of-deadly-shooting-investigation-underway

If you look at the outline around the AK-47 in the video screenshot (attached) it would appear that the BLM protester was standing by to fire, as the crowd reacted to a vehicle approaching the barricade.

The area where the protest occurred has been cordoned off by the city of Austin as a BLM protest zone, going as far as to allow for "Black Austin Matters" to be painted on the street. It also happens to be the major thoroughfare into downtown and up to the Texas Capitol.

My thought is that the driver saw the barricade on a Saturday night, was agitated by the barricade, and approached by angry activists -- one of whom was wielding an AK-47. Scary stuff, and no wonder he/she shot.

But there's still an investigation going on and I'm reluctant to guess any motives. Keep an eye on this.

They're blocking your car, beating on it, screaming obscenities and threats at you, and as you look out the driver's-side window you see a masked man with a semi-automatic weapon pointing down at you from point-blank range.

What do you do?

Translation: A libertarian with an open carry fetish decided to go boogaloo on a sergeant from Fort Hood making a little extra money driving Uber. Guess who got shot?
