According to Gallup Americans politically identify themselves as 54% conservative, 27% moderate, and 18% liberal.

That isn’t a lot of liberals. It’s damn few, actually.

Remember that the next time some lefty in the media accuses conservatives of being “right-wing” or “out of the mainstream.” They don’t know what the mainstream is – they can’t see it from their houses.
