Attorney General, Buddy Caldwell, will be the featured speaker at the Ascension GOP Roundtable sponsored by Ascension Republican Women.  The Roundtable is scheduled for Thursday, May 19th at 11:30 in the Plantation Room at SNO’s Seafood and Steak Restaurant, 13131 Airline Hwy, Gonzales LA 70737. In March of 2010, Louisiana, represented by Caldwell,  joined 25 other states in filing a lawsuit,  alleging that the new health care law infringed on the constitutional rights of individuals by mandating all citizens and legal residents have qualifying health care coverage or pay a penalty.  On January 31 of this year, a ruling by Judge Roger Vinson, struck down the federal health care law as unconstitutional.
