St. Tammany Republican Parish Executive Committee Condemns Alario As Senate President Choice

This is the kind of stuff we’re talking about. Every PEC in the state needs to put out a statement like this.

Caddo and St. Tammany have weighed in. Let’s hear the rest.

The RPEC wishes to call attention to the fact that Senator John Alario is being considered and supported by Governor Bobby Jindal for Senate President. The committee has concerns that if he were elected Senate President it would be seen as a regression to the old ways of state government to tax and spend.

The RPEC wishes to remind the citizens of the values of the Republican Party and for which the Republican Party stands including smaller government, lower taxes, and strong national defense. In keeping with its values, the committee of the RPEC wishes to alert the citizens of St. Tammany Parish and urge them to contact their Senators and the Governor to voice their opposition of John Alario as the next Senate President as the RPEC does not feel his represents the values of the Republican Party.

The St. Tammany Parish Executive Committee consists of 19 non-paid, elected officials who represent 14 districts and 5 At-Large seats. These members care about their community, volunteer in a non-paid capacity, and want to see our elected officials respect our hard work and keep our taxes low.

Call the members of your PEC and demand they take this issue up at the next meeting. Contact us and we’ll give you the folks to get hold of if you’re not sure who to talk to.
