This Bill Maher Thing Is Starting To Get A Bit Sticky

The thing about Maher is that he’s not on the speaking circuit or the radio.

He’s on television.

So getting really good footage of the radioactive crap he says isn’t difficult; it’s right there in HD.

And of course, Maher’s buddy David Letterman is no less accessible. Ditto for the MSNBC crowd and #littlelionman President Barack Hussein Obama.

So when a new PAC devoted to defending conservative women decides to gather up video clips to show how absolutely disgustingly ugly the Left is when they’re trying to defame someone like Sarah Palin or Michele Bachmann, it’s not at all difficult for them to put something together which makes assclowns out of Maher and the rest of the lefty gang.

But while that’s going on, we have the Left’s chief grotesque, Gloria Allred, attempting to criminalize Rush Limbaugh’s cracks about Sandra Fluke

Rush Limbaugh has drawn the ire of celebrity lawyer Gloria Allred, who sent a letter to the Palm Beach County state attorney requesting an investigation into whether the popular radio host should be prosecuted for calling a law student a “slut” and “prostitute” last week.

“Mr. Limbaugh targeted his attack on a young law student who was simply exercised her free speech and her right to testify before congress on a very important issue to millions of American women and he vilified her. He defamed her and engaged in unwarranted, tasteless and exceptionally damaging attacks on her,” Allred told POLITICO Friday afternoon. “He needs to face the consequences of his conduct in every way that is meaningful.”

In a letter dated March 8, Allred, writing on behalf of the Women’s Equal Rights Legal Defense and Education Fund, requested that Palm Beach County State Attorney Michael McAuliffe probe whether the conservative radio personality had violated Section 836.04 of the Florida Statutes by calling Georgetown University law student Sandra Fluke the two derogatory words.

The statute stipulates that anyone who “speaks of and concerning any woman, married or unmarried, falsely and maliciously imputing to her a want of chastity” is guilty of a misdemeanor of the first degree. Allred explained that the statute recently came to her attention as having never been repealed, and that it could very well apply to Limbaugh’s remarks as his show is broadcast from West Palm Beach.

As if a prosecutor would waste his or her time attempting to convict Limbaugh of a misdemeanor, when the latter would surely lawyer up with the meanest, nastiest and smartest First Amendment attorney money can buy.

It’s worth remembering that when Gloria Allred was last in the news she was representing real sluts like Ginger Lee, the porn queen Anthony Weiner supposedly engaged in an inappropriate Twitter relationship with, and Sharon Bialek, the desperate gold-digger who made baseless accusations against Herman Cain which contributed to his dropping out of the GOP race. In neither case was Allred particularly useful in driving the public discourse toward a positive outcome, but that’s hardly a surprise considering her past as an undignified, scum-sucking assclown…
