The White Feathered Quill

One of the caveats of military service is you must have the integrity to do what’s right, no matter the circumstances. It’s one of the rigid, unwavering and most basic of tenets of the Military Academies and specifically West Point. Today, that integrity may not be so evident. A decorated combat veteran (and now former instructor at the Joint Forces Staff College at the National Defense University) has effectively had his recognizably stellar career destroyed by Beaurat Obama’s apologist-in-command of the Army: Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Martin Dempsey.

Dempsey was the one spoke of Combat-tested Navy Seals’ protestant commentary about Obama’s continually “spiking the ball” by claiming credit for Obama having “killed Osama bin Laden”. Dempsey said such commentary didn’t “serve any purpose for me.”

Dempsey; your sucking the oxygen out of an honorable man’s career isn’t going to “serve any purpose” of increasing value where you’re concerned either. This action’s a rock-solid sign of a man elevating his status from social climbing West Point Plebe to social climbing presidential sycophant by proving he can kill a man’s career simply because he’s the biggest dog in a fight.

Take this analogy to heart and feel the searing contempt. You’re the guy in the fighting tournament given a first place seed. You sat on the side-lines, only fighting worthy but less capable candidates you beat easily for the most part. While others get their brains pounded out in tough matches, the first seed waits to step into the ring. Then, fresh as the daisy you are, you meet a man who beat everybody else, carries the heart of the lion and endures the injuries of the fight.

The general wins without sweating because he’s the top dog. I’d say this dog (Dempsey) is a mongrel.

“Academic Freedom at National Defense University is defined as freedom to pursue and express ideas, opinions, and issues germane to the University’s stated mission, free of limitations, restraints, or coercion by the University or external environment. Academic freedom is the hallmark of an academic institution.” That makes you a liar and without integrity Dempsey by commanding this action. You violate all of these tenets.

Fido Dempsey blasted Lt. Col. Dooley during a Pentagon press conference in May. Dempsey said Dooley’s course: “Perspectives on Islam and Islamic Radicalism” was objectionable, unprofessional, and “against our values.” Dooley’s career was immediately derailed.

There are no indications Dooley was counseled to “dial back” the rhetoric and/or refused to comply. There are no indications Dempsey tried to bring Lt. Col. Dooley into alignment with what Dempsey referred to as “our values” and was rebuffed. As is common in government gone amok and a military licking the hindquarters of the Judas Goat leading America toward the destiny it accepts as inevitable, Dempsey gives no indication he had anything other in mind than following his Islamic Apologist-in-Chief’s commands all things military must not offend the enemy (Islamist Extremism).

Dempsey betrayed and destroyed the career of a man of proven character, a warrior of the highest esteem before his compatriots. With the stroke of his white feathered quill Dempsey has removed a warrior from the ranks as we witness the growth of anti-American activities across the globe.

Smooth move Zero. (The term “Zero” is a pejorative. John Kerry will always be a Zero because of his disproven character and lacking loyalty to the Code of Conduct.)

In addition to publicly humiliating Dooley, he commanded a negative Officer Evaluation Report (OER) be placed in Dooley’s service jacket, effectively assassinating the man’s career. He’ll not ever get another promotion unless the OER is annulled and removed from his record. But an OER is a bell better left not rung. Once it peals, it’s a death knell virtually impossible to not understand existed. Everybody heard it and a bell’s ringing can’t be undone. Only a Dishonorable Discharge carries a greater stigma for an officer.
Dempsey? Any past good you may have done is shot in the gluteus with this act. I hope the next President gives you a negative OER. I know Americans are already drafting its verbiage and impact.

Thanks for listening.
