This isn’t a Romney campaign spot. It’s a bit too red-meat for that. But it’s a blistering indictment of the Obama record and it ends with a flourish – just to remind you how creepy, in retrospect, that campaign was which won election four years ago.

Whether we should put it in the hopper as a contender for best ad of the cycle or not, we’re not sure. It probably isn’t the best. But it’s probably top tier; it sums up what the country has been through over the last four years as well as anything we’ve seen. Not to mention there’s that Michael Bay-knockoff style we saw a ton of in the primaries – first with Tim Pawlenty’s campaign and then with Rick Perry’s – and not much since.
