These appear to be the two most enthusiastically-received speeches at the event – Paul, because he had a huge number of his supporters there and also because he made a highly articulate case for the libertarian direction in which much of the Republican Party is moving, and Perry, because he delivered one of the better examples of that old-fashioned Texas firebrand conservatism he can do so well when he’s on his game (which is less frequent than is necessary for him to sustain a presidential campaign, as we found out in 2012).
