VIDEO: Jen Psaki Dodges Ebola Cost-Benefit Question

This needs to get an airing, because while it’s headache-inducing it’s also instructive as to what a complete shambles the Obama administration is. It’s State Department spokeshack Jen Psaki babbling her way through a very legitimate question – namely, as the decision not to impose a travel ban on West Africa in an effort to keep Ebola from coming to America has been presented as a cost-benefit analysis, at what point does the analysis change? How many Americans have to come down with the virus before it isn’t worth it anymore?

Psaki can’t answer the question with any sort of intelligent discourse or even repeat any talking points of mediocre quality. She just babbles through the answer. She does say one thing, which is that the only screening done by our embassies in West Africa before giving travel visas to the good ol’ US of A is to ask the same kinds of questions that didn’t catch Thomas Eric Duncan. That’s comforting to the people who were exposed to him before he died, including that nurse at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital, isn’t it?
