Former U.S. Air Force Colonel Rob Maness is jumping out to an early start on the endorsements for his U.S. Senate race. Not only that, but Maness has landed a couple of big, in state endorsements.

First up, Maness announced the endorsement of Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser, who is the highest ranking Republican statewide elected official.

Madisonville, LA – The highest ranking Republican official in the state of Louisiana, Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser has endorsed retired U.S. Air Force Colonel Rob Maness for United States Senate in the race to replace current Senator David Vitter.

Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser said, “Colonel Rob Maness supported and endorsed me in my campaign for Lt. Governor and I support and endorse him for the United States Senate. His conservative policies and strong values will serve us well in Washington. I’ve come to know him as an honest and admirable community leader who has the skills necessary to give Louisiana strong representation at the federal level.”

Maness said, “I am truly honored to receive the endorsement of Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser in my race for the open Senate seat being here in Louisiana. Lt. Governor Nungesser is one of the most principled and hardworking people in politics today. His commitment to serve the people of Louisiana is second to none and I hope to follow in his footsteps and stand strong for the people of Louisiana as their next United States Senator. Like Lt. Governor Nungesser, I will never stop fighting for the people of the Pelican State and will always put their interests above the lobbyists and special interests that have far too much power both in Baton Rouge and Washington, D.C. This endorsement is more proof that conservatives are coalescing around my campaign to bring change to Washington, DC from the outside and I give both Lt. Governor Nungesser and the people of Louisiana my word that I won’t let them down for putting their faith in me.”

Nungesser isn’t as powerful as a name among conservatives as Attorney General Jeff Landry, but it’s a decent endorsement to have. Definitely would rather have it than not have it. It should also help Maness with fundraising.

Secondly, the Tea Party of Louisiana has announced this morning that they have endorsed Maness as well.

BATON ROUGE – The Tea Party of Louisiana (TPoL) is excited to announce our endorsement of retired U.S. Air Force Colonel Rob Maness for the open U.S. Senate race in Louisiana. 

 

If Louisiana is to do its part in helping get America back on the right path then it is imperative that we elect new conservative servant leaders like Col Rob Maness to represent “we the people” in DC! After doing our due diligence on all of the candidates, it was clear to us that Col. Maness is the best choice for tea party conservatives and that is why grassroots activists across the state have already begun to unify behind his campaign.  Col Maness is a rare specimen in the world of politics as he is someone who exudes honor, character, courage and most importantly trust.

 

Of the candidates running in this race, Col. Maness will clearly be our best advocate for reducing the size of government, reviving our economy, and restoring sanity and honor to our government and to our country. We have endorsed Rob Maness because we believe that he will speak for and represent the best interests of the citizens of the Louisiana and work for us instead of the self-appointed “ruling class” in Washington.

 

Unlike most of the career politicians out there who care more about their own personal glory than actually saving the country, Rob Maness has always put “service over self.” As a career military man instead of a career politician, he will be able to bring a unique outsider perspective to the U.S. Senate which is sorely needed.  We are confident that he will do more than be just another conservative vote in Washington, we believe he will be an outspoken leader for the conservative movement and will not only fight back against the Democrats but also the spineless Republicans who abide them.

 

The Tea Party of Louisiana chose to support and endorses Col Rob Maness because our country is at an extremely critical point in time. Pivotal decisions will be made by the next Congress that could change the course of our Nation’s history forever and thus this election may be one of the most important our country has ever held. Of those offering themselves for this post, Col Rob Maness is clearly the best choice in the race to represent us in Washington. As our Senator, it will again allow him to protect and serve each and every Louisianan as well as American, just like he did during his 32 years in the Air Force.

 

The Tea Party of Louisiana is a private, non-profit organization composed of citizens who are dedicated to returning America to a government of the people, by the people, and for the people. 

Again, another endorsement that I would rather have than not have.

Maness has so far got his campaign off on the right track. We’ll see if he can keep out the momentum over the next 8 months or so.
