VIDEO: What It Looks Like For A Business To Take Four Feet Of Water In Two Hours

This came from a report WWL-TV did last night, and it’s a surveillance camera video from the inside of the shop of Stone Concepts in Baton Rouge, a company which makes things like granite countertops. Luckily they didn’t lose everything; the centerpiece of their operations is the stone-cutting machine, which survived the flood, so they’re back to work this week and likely to do pretty well over the next few months as folks with flooded formica kitchen and bathroom counters opt for an upgrade.

But they did lose all the files and computers, and they’ve had to gut the place.

Stone Concepts is located on East Perdue Avenue, which is off of South Choctaw Drive between Monterey and Sherwood Forest. That area was inundated with a solid four feet of water late Saturday night and early Sunday morning on Aug. 13-14. The camera watching the front door from the inside captured the water’s rise, and WWL sped it up so you can see what it looked like…
