New Orleans Woman Arrested After She Hits A Woman With A Shoe In A Daiquiri Shop

A woman was arrested at a Crowder Boulevard daiquiri shop Monday (April 10) after she hit another woman in the head with her shoe, New Orleans policesaid.

Latashay Ticer, 30, was booked on a charge of aggravated battery in the shoe attack. Police said it was reported about 1:25 a.m. at a daiquiri shop in the 5700 block of Crowder Boulevard, in the West Lake Forest neighborhood of New Orleans East.

A preliminary NOPD report says Ticer and the 26-year-old victim were having an “altercation” at the daiquiri shop when Ticer “took off her shoe and struck the victim on the forehead, causing a laceration.” Police said Ticer was arrested on the scene.

No word yet on what brand of shoe was used in the assault. We’ll keep you updated with the latest on this shoe attack or if the New Orleans City Council decides to enact shoe control legislation.
