This guy Sam Brinton is an immaculate avatar for today’s Democrat Party, isn’t he? He’s clearly mentally unbalanced and belongs in an institution, but he roams the country nonetheless and is given a position of importance in the federal government – specifically, heading the agency which oversees storage and disposal of nuclear waste – without so much as an admonition that he ought to keep a low profile with the wearing of women’s clothes.

Low profile? Oh, no. Brinton makes a practice of stealing women’s luggage from baggage claims at airports.

It happened in Minneapolis, and now it’s happened in Las Vegas.

An energy department official is accused of stealing luggage from Harry Reid International Airport, the 8 News Now Investigators learned Thursday.

A felony warrant was issued for Sam Brinton, a deputy assistant secretary, sources said. The charge is for grand larceny with a value between $1,200 and $5,000, records showed.

Brinton is a deputy assistant secretary of the office of spent fuel and waste disposition, according to the Office of Nuclear Energy’s website.

Brinton faces charges for a similar incident at the Minneapolis airport. He was on leave after charges were filed in connection with that incident, an energy department spokesman said in November.

Read some of the media reports about Brinton and his serial theft of bags from airports and it’s like crawling down a rabbit hole. He calls himself “non-binary,” and accordingly he’s called “they.” So you get butchery of the English language like this…

Brinton previously revealed that they had received death threats following their appointment as deputy assistant secretary of spent fuel and waste disposition in June, becoming the first non-binary person to hold this position.

They told E&E News in October: “There’s been a lot of people who are quite upset that don’t think that I am quite as qualified as others… I respond with multiple graduate degrees from MIT, a decade of working in nuclear policy, and the strongest enthusiasm for working in nuclear waste out of anybody.”

Brinton was formally head of advocacy and government affairs for The Trevor Project, a suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for young LGBTQ people.

Sixteen Republican House members have already written a letter demanding Brinton’s resignation after the Minneapolis incident, when he was caught on video footage stealing a $2300 Vera Bradley bag containing women’s clothing and other items. That letter was brushed off, though Brinton was “suspended” following the incident.

So it happens again, because of course it does.

The Democrats are the party of pathological behavior. They reward it, just as the GOP rewards failure. And when you reward something you get a whole lot more of it.

Americans ought to be in a near-revolutionary state over the atrocious quality of the human beings in charge of our government. You’d think efforts would be taken to remedy the worst of it, but you’d be wrong.

We would expect an announcement today that Sam Brinton’s federal employment at taxpayer expense has come to an end, but we know better than to count on one.
