Moon Griffon Is Coming Back On The Air In Baton Rouge…

Here’s something we’re pretty happy about, as the state’s most prominent talk radio host has for years been in all of the markets in Louisiana save for the two biggest ones. But starting next year that’s going to change – Moon Griffon just signed on to bring his show to Talk 107.3 FM in Baton Rouge…

Moon Griffon, who hosts “The Moon Griffon Show“, will be expanding his radio presence as he will now be heard on a Baton Rouge radio station.

For years, people in other markets have expressed that they want to hear “The Moon Griffon Show” on their local radio station, and for those people who live Baton Rouge along with the surrounding areas, they will have the chance to hear his show live.

The new market will have the show featured on WBRP-FM, 107.3 FM.

Griffon has been on the air for almost three decades, and he began his career in Monroe. Lafayette added his show several years later, and then other radio stations accros the state began to syndicate his show also.

This new addition means that Moon will be heard in the Baton Rouge market which he has constantly worked to get in lineup of stations. When asked about this new market addition, Moon quipped,

“I’m sure all the elected officials are excited for me to join them in Baton Rouge, finally.”

They aren’t. Or at least most of them won’t be.

Griffon is really the only talk host of major import in the state who has fought against the insufficient aggressiveness of the Louisiana legislature over the two terms of John Bel Edwards’ time in office. He’s done more than that, and for a lot longer, to be sure, but with the timidity and sycophancy of the rest of the state’s electronic media toward Edwards and the legislative leadership, Moon has realy stood out.

And now there will be a gubernatorial election coming up, and Baton Rouge will have an activist conservative talk host with a large audience carrying the conversation.

Next stop: New Orleans. Griffon’s show needs to be on throughout the state. It’s almost there.
