There’s not an angler on the planet who doesn’t return to productive areas to put fish in the boat, but my absolute favorite thing to do is go exploring in new areas that are brimming with potential and promise.
That’s what my good fishing buddy Capt. Justin Bowles and I did this week, hitting a stretch of unfamiliar marsh to see what we could run across. We didn’t have any bias toward any particular species or method, and perhaps because of that, we had a great morning full of fishing action.
