MARSH MAN MASSON: Yanking TONS Of Fish From Right Below Our Feet!

The mouth of the continent’s largest river is a storied destination for anglers across the country, who have marveled for decades at reports of easy catches of everything from bream to blue marlin.

That’s especially true when the Mississippi River falls below 5 feet at the New Orleans gauge, completely obliterating the waterway’s moniker as the Big Muddy. It would more aptly be called the Little Green.

When that happens, currents soften to a crawl, clarity gets incredible and the fish go absolutely bananas.
