The theme of today’s article is UNITY- unity of heart and unity of purpose, for Republicans and other conservatives, independents, and an increasing number of Democrats, who will elect Jeff Landry to be our next governor. There are only forty-three days until the October 14th open primary, and I believe those will be the most important forty-three days in modern Louisiana history. Here’s why:
It has been a hard eight years since our state elected a so-called moderate Democrat governor. Sad to relate, it turned out that John Bel Edwards was flying under false colors all along. He told us he was pro-life and pro-gun, but he never lifted a finger in support of either cause, and as soon as he was inaugurated, we found out the truth about him. He and his Democrat legislators spent the next eight years doubling the cost of governing Louisiana.
And what did we get for our (and the federal government’s) money? Not much besides a huge bill which we and our children will spend generations paying back. Because so much of that money was wasted on progressive liberal programs of dubious value, while our schools and infrastructure deteriorated but our neighboring states prospered, our great state lost population while our industries closed or cut back on their operations. Crime worsened to intolerable levels as our public schools became promoters of woke ideology, but neglected to teach the three R’s.
In personal terms, this meant that our children were forced to move to other states, and our wallets thinned out even as our taxes went up. If you happened to live in one of Louisiana’s three major cities, all of which were among the ten most crime-ridden cities in America, then it seemed that only God could take pity on you, because the police were overwhelmed to the point of helplessness. If you happened to work in the petrochemical industry, which the Democrats had all but shut down, well, I hope you found work doing something else. If you happened to live in a rural area, then you must have felt lost in the wilderness without Internet, decent roads, or adequate flood protection.
No one, and I mean no one on either side of the cavernous divide which haunts our political life, will deny that Louisiana desperately needs a new direction, and we are running out of time to fix the mess in which we now find ourselves. But help is on the way!
In Jeff Landry, our endorsed Republican candidate, we have a man who has actually patrolled our streets and served in the military as a policeman; a man who has run a small business and practiced law in a small town; a public servant who has worked for us first as a United States Congressman and then as the Attorney General of Louisiana.

No one else in this race comes even close to Jeff’s level of experience and proven ability to govern. Remember, we are running out of time- we must elect a governor who has the conservative beliefs needed to affect the change we need, and who can hit the ground running on January 8, 2024. We will win this race if we are united behind Jeff, and Louisiana will be on its way to a better future for us all.
PLEASE VOTE FOR JEFF LANDRY ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 14TH, AND URGE YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS TO DO THE SAME!
