Carville Isn’t Funny Anymore. He Isn’t Relevant, Either.

We’ve never been amused by the sleazy, amoral grifter politico James Carville here at The Hayride. Even on the occasion when Carville says something true, it’s always laced with evidence of a fundamentally dishonest and manipulative worldview.

James Carville’s career was made because he agreed to be a shill for Bill Clinton, a rapist and philanderer whose gross misbehavior was so over-the-top that it ultimately led to the loss of good feeling between the sexes manifesting in the #MeToo movement and other counterabuses. Clinton went from flying on Air Force One to Jeffrey Epstein’s plane, in one of the true disgraces American history has to offer, and Carville never, ever had the slightest misgivings about continuing to play Baghdad Bob for him.

And as Carville’s political star fell through the floor with the Clintons fading out of relevance, he settled into a cushy sinecure teaching political science at LSU. By his own admission he couldn’t hack that, getting himself in trouble for comparing the sound a slow-popping champagne cork makes to the sigh of a satisfied woman in the middle of a class, and then when giving a warning about such low-class rhetoric he responded by telling Gilbert Gottfried’s Aristocrats joke.

He isn’t Gilbert Gottfried, and Gottfried only got away with that joke because he told it at a celebrity roast where the excessively vulgar is actually appropriate (and in no other place does it work; and specifically not in a college classroom). He then quit his job and blamed the snowflakes at LSU for not appreciating his brilliance.

Well, he isn’t brilliant. And at this point he’s simply an embarrassment.

James Carville shilled for Katie Bernhardt and the old-line white Democrat elite who have lost their party completely. This came to a head when Carville took up for Bernhardt’s chosen sacrificial lamb Luke Mixon in the 2022 Senate race against John Kennedy; Mixon was recruited to run though nothing in his background qualified him to run for the Senate (he’s an airline pilot whose own neighbors didn’t even know who he was), and Bernhardt studiously avoided discussions with any black potential candidates.  That prompted such outrage that Baton Rouge race-hustler Gary Chambers jumped into the race and ultimately outpolled Mixon 18 percent to 13 percent.

Carville’s judgment of Chambers? He called him an “idiot” for running against Mixon. Democrat voters judged Carville the idiot.

But this decrepit cretin continues to get bookings on cable news shows and appearances in major news organs. The Maureen Dowd New York Times column from two weekends ago was an example of Carville getting unmerited earned media, and last night’s utter idiocy on Chris Cuomo’s NewsNation show was another example.

Note the stupid Mardi Gras polo shirt over a red t-shirt and the ubiquitous LSU hat, making Carville literally look like a clown. And then note his shilling for the indefensible – Joe Biden, or the radical leftist activists who handle him, grafting the Trans Day of Visibility onto Easter Sunday.

None of this is amusing.

As I wrote in this morning’s American Spectator column, imposing a celebration of transgenderism onto the holiest day in the Christian calendar is a declaration of war on Christianity. No greater insult could possibly exist, as transgenderism is a full frontal denial of God and the fundamental truth Christianity is based on – that we are God’s creatures and that we are as He made us. Transgenderism teaches that this is not true, and in fact that by the force of our will and medical science we can remake God’s creation.

To superimpose a tribute to that blasphemous and barbaric notion on top of the celebration of the resurrection of Christ is an outrage of the first magnitude.

Carville damned well knows this, and yet he excuses Joe Biden as some sort of devout Catholic while saying the decision to honor transgender people on Christ’s day of resurrection (which almost connotes a sick equivalence between the Resurrection and a sex change, enough to give the heebie-jeebies to even irreligious Christians) was decided by some mid-level functionaries and that this is an irrelevant controversy.

Bullshit.

This cannot and should not be so easily dismissed. Team Biden declared itself an enemy of Christianity, something it had made obvious again and again over the past three-plus years, with last weekend’s outrage. And for Carville to attempt to dismiss this as some right-wing political ploy – which the NewsNation suits sanctioned by applying a “Republicans Pounce” filter to the headline, as though the story is the conservative reaction to the outrage rather than the outrage itself – is not acceptable.

It’s time that this man’s discredit become complete. He’s been an embarrassment to Louisiana. Now he’s a humiliation to our state.

Perhaps Louisiana’s legislature could pass a resolution censuring him for amplifying the insult to Christians that Team Biden perpetrated over the weekend. A resolution condemning the insult itself would make for appropriate communications as well.
