The Louisiana Freedom Caucus (LAFC) is pleased to announce the passage of member Rep. Roger Wilder’s bill, HB608, the Women’s Safety and Protection Act. It passed out of the Senate unamended today and will soon be on Governor Jeff Landry’s desk for signature.

“It is deeply gratifying that our legislature has codified what has been understood since time immemorial: there are two sexes, male and female. Now our laws will comport with the ability to protect our mothers, wives and daughters from invasion of their private spaces. I am so thankful this is headed to the desk of Governor Jeff Landry for signature,” said Rep. Roger Wilder, member of the Louisiana Freedom Caucus.
