Imagine…LSU makes the announcement that they are planning to add four more seats to their football stadium—but in order to do so they need to bump up ticket prices by thousands of dollars. This would not seem rational, yet this is the argument that partisan extremist and chairwoman of the Louisiana Board of Ethics La Koshia Roberts is making right now.

Roberts, an irresponsible left-wing moonbat whom I’ve touched on before and so has Hayride publisher Scott McKay, recently sat down with the George Soros funded Louisiana Illuminator. She complained that the ethics board would have to pay more money in order to make room for Governor Landry’s expanded ethics board. By “expanded” we are talking about only four more seats.

Now, we all know the Louisiana Illuminator will run almost any story that portrays Governor Landry in a negative light, but the fact that they ran with this story may be a new low for them.

The Louisiana Illuminator  insinuated that throughout the entire state government, there is currently no room big enough to house the 15-member board. The Illuminator article states that the board will spend between $50,000 to $100,000 to adjust for the larger board. “Money is needed to reconfigure where the members sit for their monthly meetings.”

A quick search online could have put this article to a screeching halt before it was published.

As Governor Landry highlighted this on his X account, the State Capitol committee rooms have more than enough seating, the Claiborne Building and our universities also have numerous meetings rooms that would solve their problem.

Importantly, the Board of Commerce and Industry meets in the SAME room the Board of Ethics currently meets in—and they have over 24 members.

However, we know La Koshia Roberts and the Louisiana Illuminator have an agenda—and looking at the facts and the truth is not part of it.

Let me give you some background on La Koshia Roberts. She has served on the Board of Ethics for six years and has spent more time attacking Republicans than she has doing her job.

In a May 2020 tweet replying to U.S. Senator Rand Paul, Roberts said, “I now understand your neighbor’s frustrations.” Sen. Paul was assaulted by his neighbor in 2017, and as a result was hospitalized and needed part of his lung removed. Link: https://x.com/Reconda41/status/1260679836483432450

So much for the Chair of the Board of Ethics being nonpartisan!

It is very clear there are common sense solutions to fit the extra four people—solutions that won’t waste taxpayer money.

La Koshia Roberts and the Fake News media should be ashamed for reporting otherwise, and I hope the good people of Louisiana can see through this partisan deception.
