Day by day citizens’ faith in the American system of justice wanes, as Federal and state judges find endless excuses for blocking the deportation of aliens who entered the country illegally.
Either the Executive has the power to enforce immigration law, or he does not. Either the Executive can repatriate the millions of illegal aliens let in by Biden’s willful circumvention of the law, or he does not. Either the Executive can remove such illegal aliens entering through the same no hearing, mass deportation process that Biden used to let them in, or he does not.
These are straightforward questions that only the Supreme Court can resolve. Many will not like the results, but the constitutional rule of law is a fundamental foundation of the Republic and it’s at risk.
The Democrats are fond of saying that Trump causes constitutional crises, but it was Biden who ignored established practice, and only the Supreme Cout can in light of law justify his actions or not. Further, based on precedent of earlier Administrations (Obama Clinton, Eisenhower for instance) only the Supreme Court can sustain Trump’s actions or not.
We need definitive answers, we need them now.
So far, the Supreme Court seems to be absent in its duty to assure resolution of these constitutional issues. All the while dozens of state and Federal District courts have been handing down far reaching judgements, judgements viewed by many as tainted with the politics of the jurists. By not clarifying the powers of the Executive Branch and resolving practical remedies for the violation of law by the previous Administration, the Court runs the very real risk of destroying its own credibility as well as that of the concept of the independence of the third branch of government.
