Bill Cassidy is running for reelection. He’s running a campaign in which he is clearly, perhaps even jokingly, trying to convince the Republican base that Donald J Trump is his bestie.

As if he’s all about some DJT. If not all, then at least it’s fair to say that many of his public offerings these days are encased in some sort of message that tells us all about how strong his support for Trump is.

I sure hope that the Louisiana based voting conservative citizens do not forget who Bill Cassidy really is.

Let’s remember that on February 13, 2021 the Louisiana Republican Party Censured Bill Cassidy in response to his voting to impeach DJT.

In fact, I hope that Republican voters will remember all of those who defied their base that day. I believe they all traded in their commitment to those who sent them to DC in return for some favor among those who they believed held the power they wanted to wield. I believe he lied to the voters about where his allegiance really is, and I believe he is trying to do it again. It’s a ploy. Democrats run as republicans and tell you, the voter, how deeply conservative and republican they are to get your vote, and then they go to DC and serve their Democrat leaders taking us down that path like sheep to a slaughter, and he’s not the only one doing it.

Here’s how senators voted on Trump’s second impeachment.

He passionately supported mask mandates not only at home but then publicly criticized others as they began to stand up against them.

Bill Cassidy “forcefully” defended vaccine mandates when faced with the observation that they’re inconsistent with liberty.

And, let’s not forget that in 2023, after Trump was indicted for “mishandling classified documents”, Cassidy called for Trump to drop out of the 2024 presidential election, and then after Trump secured the Republican nomination, Cassidy declined to endorse him in the general election.

Now, all of the sudden, everyone in Louisiana is supposed to believe that Bill Cassidy is Donald Trump’s Biggest Cheerleader?

I sure do hope that the conservative voters in Louisiana are not as brain-dead as Senator Cassidy is counting on them being.
