LUNSFORD: Vindicated! Kyle Ardoin Wasn’t the Censor After All

(Citizens for a New Louisiana) — For years, an aggressive faction in Louisiana politics has accused former Secretary of State Kyle Ardoin of participating in a grand conspiracy to censor Louisianans. This group disrupted meetings, hijacked Republican events, belittled volunteers, and launched constant online attacks. They portrayed Ardoin as a “censor-in-chief,” warned that he was “colluding with Big Tech,” and insisted he was secretly suppressing conservative speech.

They shouted so loudly, and so often, that the narrative took on a life of its own.

But now we have the proof that they had hoped would never see the light of day: the Democratic National Committee—not Kyle Ardoin—was the entity submitting Louisiana conservative groups to be censored. The evidence is buried inside the Election Integrity Partnership’s (EIP) internal Jira logs, which the U.S. House Judiciary Committee released.

The truth was there all along—we were only just made aware of the files that prove it. And all of it comes thanks to a few lawsuits. Namely: Missouri v. Biden, and Hines v. Stamos. Ironically, these are the same lawsuits that the anti-Ardoin crowd have been banting about for years as “proof positive” of Ardoin’s active participation in the censorship of Louisiana citizens (even though they were unable to name a single person whom he had censored).

And as Saint Augustine wrote, “The truth is like a lion; you don’t have to defend it. Let it loose; it will defend itself.” Today, for the first time on this issue, Louisiana will finally see the truth set free.

The Smoking Gun: EIP-78 and the DNC’s Censorship Request

While that not-so-famous faction was screaming about Kyle Ardoin, something much bigger was happening behind the scenes. We find it in the Jira Ticket Dataset, a sea of data released in November 2023. Finally, after all this time, the proof can be seen in Jira ticket number EIP-78:

  • Reporting Source: External Report – Government
  • Organization: Democratic National Committee (DNC)

This isn’t speculation or rumor. The DNC itself was submitting political speech for review by Facebook’s censors. The larger dataset even includes flagged content from Congressman Clay Higgins! And what URLs did the DNC flag in ticket EIP-78? Among many national conservative outlets, we find several from Louisiana:

  • Health Freedom Louisiana
  • ReOpen Louisiana
  • Specific ReOpen Louisiana posts featuring Louisiana families, Louisiana parents, and Louisiana activists.

In other words, the Democrats directly targeted Louisiana conservative groups for censorship. The EIP didn’t ignore the request. Their internal note reads:

“Our team took apart your request to create 28 different subtasks and investigate each piece in detail… Others, we decided to add to our ongoing monitoring queue…”

Twenty-eight subtasks. Let that sink in. This is the real censorship story. It’s one that national media ignored, and one that Louisiana’s loudest “anti-censorship” activists worked incredibly hard to hide from you.

The Loudest Voices Were Pointing in the Wrong Direction

While the DNC was flinging Louisiana conservatives into a national censorship dragnet, Christopher Alexander and Christy Haik were screaming something entirely different. Their message? “Kyle Ardoin is censoring conservatives!”

They screamed it at Republican Women’s events, on social media, to anyone who would listen, and plenty who didn’t want to — especially without any proof at all. Their behavior was so disruptive at one Republican Women’s meeting that someone had them forcibly removed by the police! And because the Republican Women refused to be further disrupted, police had to be counted upon to ensure that the agitators didn’t return.

This isn’t what activism or oversight looks like, by the way. This is nothing more than flagrant political sabotage dressed up as “patriotism.” Because all the noise they created by shouting about Kyle Ardoin only served to provide cover for the real censors. Thanks to their deflection efforts, the DNC continued working quietly and effectively, completely unnoticed. This kind of projection isn’t just a psychological quirk. It’s an incredibly effective political tactic.

Projection: Accuse Your Opponent of What You Are Doing

Rush Limbaugh said it best: “The Left accuses us of what they themselves are doing.” That strategy is as ancient as human nature itself:

  • If you’re guilty of something, accuse someone else of it loudly and early.
  • Point the mob in the wrong direction, and the culprits walk away unscathed.

While the Democrats were feeding Louisiana conservative speech into the censorship meat grinder, Alexander and Haik were busy. They were building a statewide campaign apparatus to convince conservatives that the real villain was the Republican Secretary of State, Kyle Ardoin. And, shockingly, it actually worked on more people than it should have. Ardoin’s reputation took hit after hit. He faced relentless vicious attacks from people claiming to be “more Republican than the Republican Party.” The pressure became so intense that he declined to run for re-election.

To make matters worse, readers need to realize that this was not accidental or collateral damage. Ardoin was the target. Removing him, destroying his credibility, and dividing the Republican base served to further the interests of the Democratic Party — the actual censors.

“More Republican Than the Republicans”? A Branding Trick!

Christy Haik once operated under the name “Louisiana Conservatives.” But more recently, she has borrowed (converted?) a new banner, the Louisiana Republican Assembly, a name that state records show has been registered to and owned by someone else since 2015.

Her group operates under the slogan, “the Republican wing of the Republican Party.” However, they are not affiliated with the state’s official Republican Party. Additionally, their actions speak louder than their branding:

  • They routinely and exclusively attack Republican elected officials.
  • They disrupt Republican organizations.
  • They mislead Republican voters.
  • They endorse Democrats, including Gwen Collins-Greenup, the Democratic Party candidate for Secretary of State who ran against Kyle Ardoin in 2019 and Nancy Landry in 2023.

Anyone can pull on a jersey, but that doesn’t make them part of the team. A group that endorses Democratsattacks Republicans, and helps shield the DNC’s censorship while claiming to be “more Republican than the Republicans” isn’t a faction but a facade, a branding exercise, a costume, and a deliberate deception.

So Let’s State It Clearly: Ardoin Was Not the Censor—He Was the Target

The DNC was the one flagging Louisiana conservatives for censorship. It was the DNC that was initiating censorship reviews of Health Freedom Louisiana and ReOpen Louisiana. The DNC was the one acting through the EIP. Meanwhile, before the proof was made publicly available, Alexander and Haik were out front, hurriedly pointing fingers at the Republican Secretary of State. The effect was to distract everyone from what was really happening. Who benefited from that?

It was the perfect distraction the Democrats wanted and needed:

  • Conservatives were convinced their own officials were the problem.
  • The DNC was provided a free pass from any scrutiny.
  • The self-proclaimed “more Republican” people were shielding the DNC’s actions while also pushing out a Republican SoS and publicly endorsing his Democrat opponent!

Remember, George Washington entreated us that: “A slender acquaintance with the world must convince every man that actions, not words, are the true criterion…” We can listen to their explanations all day long, but if we judge by results rather than stated intentions, the truth becomes obvious. This wasn’t a coincidence, confusion, or an honest mistake; it was a deliberate strategy that had an actual outcome. Kyle Ardoin was forced out as a direct result of insidious lies and manipulations from the same people who endorsed the Democrat.

The Lion Is Loose

With the EIP Jira data in hand, the truth is undeniable. Kyle Ardoin wasn’t the censor. We know because his name never appeared in the entire dataset. He was the one being sabotaged and framed by a false narrative designed to take him out while shielding the real censors: The Democratic National Committee.

And now that the truth is finally out, their entire narrative collapses. Returning to Saint Augustine’s famous words: “The truth is like a lion; you don’t have to defend it. Let it loose; it will defend itself.” Today, that lion is awake, roaring, and reclaiming its ground. Unfortunately, it’s too late to undo the irreparable harm inflicted upon Kyle Ardoin. But if Louisiana’s true conservatives are finally ready to listen, this revelation should unite them against the real threat — the one hiding behind a borrowed Republican mask.

Stay tuned. In a future installment, we’ll examine the newest conservative being targeted by this same deceptive “Republican” network — and what their continuing attacks against Republicans reveal about the Democratic Party’s true agenda.
