I know I’ve been pretty sparse posting here at the site this week, and for that I’d apologize – but when you’ve got a book out, you do what’s necessary to sell it. And The Necessary Men is out – which is your cue to go to MikeHolman.com or Amazon and pick up your copy. You can even buy at signed copy at the Mike Holman site.
Anyway, the time I usually spend writing stuff here at The Hayride is largely getting soaked up doing morning-drive radio hits and mid-morning podcast appearances across the country, and last week and this week have been pretty hot and heavy. I just don’t have enough hours in the day anymore, it feels like. Thankfully, the other writers are pouring stuff in here, so hopefully you people don’t feel lonely.
But a lot of these shows are following an interesting pattern. Namely, that we’ll start off talking about Cuba, and the mess that the communists have made of Cuba, and it starts to flow into France and the midterm elections.
You might at first blush think these things aren’t connected, and yet they are. And I’ll explain why.
One of the things I talk about in The Necessary Men, and what I’m presenting is a fictional version of what’s happening in real life – the names are changed, but the dynamics are pretty much spot on – is that the Cuban communist regime might be in a state of collapse but that doesn’t mean it’s irrelevant on the global stage. We’ve pretended Cuba barely exists since the fall of the Soviet Union, and that pretense has had real costs all over the Western Hemisphere.
Back in the summer, the State Department put out a report on Cuban communism and how the regime has worked to spread La Revolucion all over the Western Hemisphere, including here. Don’t forget, for example, that Karen Bass, the current mayor of Los Angeles and a finalist on Joe Biden’s list of vice presidential nominees before he went with Kamala Harris, was in the Venceremos Brigades, which was sort of a Cuban version of the German-American Bund or CAIR – meaning, a bunch of quote-unquote Americans who volunteered themselves for ideological training and support in service to the Cuban regime – when she was in her early 20’s. It’s unlikely that Bass stopped being a Cuban asset.
And in that report is a good bit of documentation that the DSA – the Democratic Socialists of America – is an organization which has been funded and organized by the Cuban regime for 67 years.
It isn’t a big surprise that the DSA has emerged as more or less the active ingredient in the Democrat Party in this election cycle at a time when the Cuban regime absolutely, positively, desperately needs the United States to lift the embargo and start providing “humanitarian” aid to prop up the Cuban commies.
You might think it’s utterly fanciful that this would happen, but remember your history. When Barack Obama was president, he opened Cuba up to American trade and tourism. When Joe Biden was president, the Cuban people attempted to revolt against the regime and Biden refused to help. And the DSA is even further left than either of those.
Compare the ideological statements of the DSA and the Castro regime, and it’s the same stuff – the white European colonizers oppressing the black and brown and indigenous peoples of the world are what stands in for the bourgeoisie and the proletariat in the old Marxist formulation of the world. Once you look, you start to realize that race communism as practiced by the DSA and the Black Lives Matter gang and the Antifa loons is all of Cuban origin. And then you realize from the State Department’s report that this is no accident – the Cubans have fomented this stuff for 67 years, so no wonder we have it now.
And no, the DSA Democrat candidates aren’t talking about Cuba. They know they won’t win elections advocating an American bailout of the current Cuban regime. But if you think they won’t do that as soon as they come to power, should the midterms go wrong, you’re mistaken.
How does this relate to the French riots? Well, if you’ve paid attention this week, you’ll know from the reporting by both Fox News Digital and Data Republican on X that the same people funding the riots in France – which are billed as “student protests” but are clearly a migrant revolt supported and fomented by La France Insoumise, which is the communist party in France – are the ones funding the Hard Left in America, whether it’s the anti-ICE demonstrations, the attacks on Tesla dealerships, the No Kings rallies and the rest. This has a lot to do with Neville Roy Singham, the Shanghai-based quote-unquote American tech bro who’s married to Jodie Evans of Code Pink fame; Singham is throwing money at every international leftist revolutionary group he can (whose money is a good question; many think, and probably rightly so, that he’s a funnel for Chinese Communist Party asymmetrical warfare), and his network turns up as being behind the French riots.
If you’ll remember, Singham’s network showed their hand in Cuba earlier this year when Code Pink, Indivisible, the DSA and a few other left-wing groups had a confab in Havana at a 5-star resort.
And now Data Republican’s reporting indicates these people plan to turn the streets of Blue-State America into France, and then attempt to trap President Trump if he invokes the Insurrection Act.
It’s all connected.
And this gets a detailed – and quite entertaining – treatment in The Necessary Men. I won’t say how it works out in the book. And I can’t say how it’ll work out in real life.
