She’s also pretty much a socialist, or at least she was.

The Republicans ought to filibuster out of principle. Not that Kagan would be any worse on the Supreme Court than John Paul Stevens has been or that the next nominee wouldn’t be every bit as bad. But they ought to filibuster anyway.

And isn’t it amazing how you can’t seem to find a Democrat in a position of power within this administration who didn’t spend the 1970’s or 1980’s playing footsie with socialists and Communists? What happened to the Scoop Jacksons and J. Bennett Johnstons of the world?
