I’m likin’ it.
These are the same guys who did that song about Obama a couple years ago. It was great – you had to think about it to realize it was about Obama, and you had to wade through a little bit a’ strong language to get there, but it was great.
Now they’ve got a new one out. It’s better. It’s not one of the 10 songs that play over and over again on the radio yet, but it might be.
And it’s about…Rubio?
And I came home
Like a stone
And I fell heavy into your arms
These days of darkness
Which we’ve known
Will blow away with this new sunAnd I’ll kneel down
Wait for now
And I’ll kneel down
Know my groundAnd I will wait, I will wait for you
And I will wait, I will wait for youSo break my step
And relent
You forgave and I won’t forget
Know what we’ve seen
And him with less
Now in some way
Shake the excessBut I will wait, I will wait for you
And I will wait, I will wait for you
And I will wait, I will wait for you
And I will wait, I will wait for youSo I’ll be bold
As well as strong
And use my head alongside my heart
So tame my flesh
And fix my eyes
That tethered mind free from the liesBut I’ll kneel down
Wait for now
I’ll kneel down
Know my groundRaise my hands
Paint my spirit gold
And bow my head
Keep my heart slowCause I will wait, I will wait for you
And I will wait, I will wait for you
And I will wait, I will wait for you
And I will wait, I will wait for you
