This Is Just Gross…

…today was the 40th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, so the Center for Reproductive Rights decided it would be a good idea to cut a YouTube spot in celebration of the judicial decision that took the question of whether abortion should be legal out of the hands of the American people.

We can argue that issue if you want, perhaps some other time. This is what they came up with as a celebratory video…

From the YouTube page housing the video…

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Roe v. Wade we didn’t buy a ruby. Instead, the Center for Reproductive Rights asked Mehcad Brooks of the USA Network’s “Necessary Roughness” and HBO’s “True Blood” to prepare a special video message just for you. To learn more and to sign the Bill of Reproductive Rights visit

Mehcad Brooks can’t possibly need work this badly. Could this thing have been in any poorer taste?

This seems of a piece with the post we had Monday about the thorough lack of honor and merit on the Left, and how our side needs to learn to fight in the gutter if we want to beat them.

But there are ways to get mean and fight dirty without going to this extreme. Unless we want to copy this thing almost verbatim to parody the Left and make them look like slimeballs, of course – in which case it’d be brilliant.

  1. William M Edelmann says:

Shows that these producers harbor a lack of respect for the unborn and then rub the mothers' noses in their choice?

Did the producers even consider how many women had an abortion but only with apprehension and perhaps subsequently regretted their choice, now living with that choice all these years?

Did the producers of this clip consider the self-loathing they might harbor over their own choice? What of the feelings of neglect & resentment by those people who survived botched abortions?

Pro-choice wing is as classless & vulgar as they accuse the pro-life people of being.

  2. Elizabeth Weber Levy says:

    Obscenity on parade.

  3. Was he grunting? I thought only pigs grunted. Grunting seems to be a greater indicator of the position the writers took than any other drivel they tried to get across. Pigs in expensive suits, sipping allegedly expensive whiskey while winking and grunting; while seated before a romantic fire are what we have to look forward to from the Left. Yeah.young people really need to emulate this turd!
