You might have heard about this remarkable event from this morning, but it’s well worth about 26 minutes of your time to experience it for yourself. It’s Dr. Benjamin Carson, a world-renowned pediatric neurosurgeon at Johns Hopkins Hospital and an inspirational speaker and humanitarian, giving an address at the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington.

Carson, who in 2008 was honored with the Presidential Medal of Freedom, demonstrates an amazing amount of courage in this speech. With Barack and Michelle Obama sitting at the dais mere feet away, he decried the evils and dangers of political correctness, lambasted the progressive income tax and extolled the value of health savings accounts over the current Medicare/Medicaid/Obamacare model.

The speech itself is full of passion, intelligence, self-deprecation, goodwill and boldness. But while you’re watching it, pay attention to the man sitting at the left who appears less amused than the audience in general.
