AFP’s New Mary Landrieu Ad

It’s called “Lie of the Year,” and it’s about Obamacare as you might imagine…

AFP’s president Tim Phillips, in announcing the launch of the ad (they’re running similar ads against Jean Shaheen in New Hampshire and Kay Hagan in North Carolina), had this to say…

“President Obama repeatedly promised Americans that they could keep their current health care plans and doctors if they chose, but millions have found out the hard way that this was the Lie of the Year.

“We’re putting pressure on senators who repeated that lie and doubled down on ObamaCare even as it became obvious that the law was hurting millions of Americans. The story of ObamaCare is one of less choice, rising premiums, and broken promises. AFP is committed to a long-term effort to stop this law.”

Something interesting also developed where Americans For Prosperity is concerned; namely, that the organization just hired Phillip Joffrion, the former ccampaign manager and chief of staff for Jeff Landry, to be their new state director in Louisiana. Joffrion is a hard-nosed political operator who’s well-respected in state politics; putting him together with the resources AFP brings to the table could make for an interesting combination and some interesting results where policy and elections are concerned.
