Today the Agenda Project Action Fund launched “Republican Cuts Kill,” a multi-pronged blitzkrieg attack that lays blame for the Ebola crisis exactly where it belongs — at the feet of the Republican lawmakers. Like rabid dogs in a butcher shop, Republicans have indiscriminately shredded everything in their path, including critical programs that could have dealt with the Ebola crisis before it reached our country. Yesterday, a health worker tested positive for the virus– now, the effects of the GOP’s fanatical hatred for our government may finally be exposed.

. . .In launching this effort, we will be the first major progressive group to directly blame GOP budget cuts for the nearly 4,000 deaths caused by the Ebola crisis.

Our plan is to place a paid buy in Kentucky the week of October 18 with North Carolina, Kansas, and South Dakota to follow provided we complete the financing we need.

Too bad we won’t see it on TV in Louisiana. Bill Cassidy does appear in the ad, after all.

The ad is, of course, idiotic. After all, the Obama administration’s own FY 2014 budget proposal for the CDC seeks $6.6 billion, which is $270 million less than it received in 2012. And a quarantine of West Africa, together with a travel ban, doesn’t impact the budget at all – while doing more to reduce the risk of Americans succumbing to the disease than practically anything the CDC and NIH have in their arsenal. And because it’s so idiotic, one wonders if this isn’t the national equivalent of that horrendous Wendy Davis spot about Greg Abbott and his wheelchair.

As to the priorities, Erick Erickson had a good answer to this. He notes that fat lesbians got all of the Ebola money.

For example, instead of studying Ebola, the National Institutes of Health were studying the propensity of lesbians to be fat.

Then there was the money for a study on wives who calm down quickly.

And the Centers for Disease Control spent its budget on gun violence studies on order of the Presidentas part of his agenda to curtail the second amendment.

The CDC also spent its money to survey what bus riders thought of HIV videos.

Hey, and let’s not forget all the money the CDC spent to convince people to stop smoking and now we need tobacco to manufacture the drug to fight Ebola. Classic.

Hopefully this ad gets a lot of airplay. It will guarantee Democrats lose everywhere it airs.

And maybe, when the Democrat Party is a smoking ruin after the November elections, they’ll turn on Erica Payne and her idiotic Agenda Project.
